| Guro Arts Valley Theatre
is a borough-based, newly-opened theatre in Guro,
which is one of twenty-five boroughs in the southwest
region of Seoul, South Korea. It is a multi-purpose
theatre fully-funded by the borough with 579 seats
and other facilities such as a gallery and a seminar
room.
The theatre provides audiences with not only
a high quality of the arts but also focuses on
the locals by offering them the possibility to
take part in additional activities, workshops
and projects given by artists and professionals
in their respective fields. One example of this
is the new creative writing program.
The aim of the theatre is to play an important
role in fostering the arts and young artists by
offering them guidance in order to promote the
educational and artistic level in our area/borough.
In the meantime, we are also now preparing for
the grand opening of the theatre in July 2008
with various productions from music, drama, dance
to street performances from national and international
performers.
